Food quality and safety
Food quality and safety of all our products is guaranteed by qualitative standards according to UNI 10854:1999 (HACCP system), UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 and UNI EN ISO 22000:2005 that guarantee the traceability of raw materials and finished products plus conformity to plant and productive system features.
With the implementation of the Environmental Management System according to UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 and its observance, GI Gastronomia Italiana is engaged in the environmental impact analysis concerning its own activity and the search for continuous improvement in a coherent, effective and above-all sustainable way.
The planning and production process of each product available in assortment is validated by lab tests performed by the Faculty of Agriculture and by the Chemistry Department of the University of Bologna, aimed at verifying the chemical and microbiological characteristics of MAP packaged products, paying particular attention to the absence of allergenic substances according to the law in force.
The validation process has granted a shelf-life of up to 30 days for gastronomic preparations with no added preservatives whatsoever.
